Sustainable Art Showcase!
UMBC RecycleMania 2015
UMBC will be showcasing environmentally themed art on Commons Mainstreet during Art Week! We have gotten over 50 pieces of art work submissions- very impressive work that we can't wait to share with you all! So many talented and green Retrievers.
We'll have green goodies, green giveaways, green pledges, and more! Don't miss it- Tuesday from 12-1pm!
If you're a UMBC artist, 2D designer or photographer with a love for our Earth be sure to enter your work for consideration in the Sustainable Art showcase on March 2nd. The competition is designed to celebrate UMBC's participation in RecycleMania 2015 and to visually express love for the natural world by publicly displaying the artwork on Commons Mainstreet during Art Week.
The rules are simple: interested students must enter a 2D project no bigger than 1.5' by 2' and it must express sustainability themes in some way (projects made of recycled materials will receive extra consideration). Entries received by Wednesday, February 25th will receive priority consideration and winners will be displayed on Commons Mainstreet on March 2nd and 3rd during free hour and featured online.
Entries are to be digitally submitted to Sustainability Intern DeVaughn Jones at djones19@umbc.edu with the subject line "Sustainable Art". Winners will be notified by February 27th.
