Satellite data: The other type of smartphone data you might not know about

Alicia Sabatino is a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Geography at UMBC. Her Master’s research focuses on the racial-sexual geographies of incarceration in the United States. She also contributes to various research projects around cities, housing and technology using critical GIS methods. Alicia is currently working at Chesapeake Conservancy as a Web GIS Specialist. She also did her undergraduate studies with UMBC's GES department, while completing a minor in Computer Science at the same time.
