UMBC Sustainability Needs YOUR Help!
Please report your community service hours!
Are you a UMBC community member (employee or student)? Have you participated in, or sponsored, any community service events this past school year (Aug '21 - May '22)? Have your hours been associated with something for UMBC?
If so please take a moment to share that information with the Sustainability Office:
***Please note that if you have performed your service with the Shriver Center you do NOT need to share that information as it is already captured and reported****
Why are we asking?
Every couple of years UMBC submits a report to the Association for the Advancement of Sustainbility in Higher Education (AASHE). This report called STARS, is like a report card for how well UMBC is doing with all aspects of sustainability. One of the many cateogories we're ranked on is community service. The more accurate our reporting the higher we score. UMBC is trying to earn a higher score than our 2020 submission and be tied with College Park!
