More than ever, it's important that scientific evidence is a serious decision making criteria in environmental policy decisions. 

An expert panel will facilitated by students in the GES graduate seminar Environmental Science - Policy Translations (GES 700) taught by Professor Maggie Holland, Geography and Environmental Systems Department.  The goal of this event is to provide a platform for experts working at the interface of environmental science & policy to share their perspectives with a broad audience.  Students, faculty, and staff are welcome!  


Panel experts:
Dr. Beth McGee - Chief Scientist, Chesapeake Bay Foundation
Dr. Angela Bednarek - Manager, Environmental Science, The Pew Charitable Trusts
Peter Claggett - Research Geographer, USGS, Chesapeake Bay Program

The graduate students will several questions to the panel, and incorporate audience participation.  If you plan on attending and have a smartphone, please bring it!
