Guided Hike: UMBC's Herbert Run Greenway

Description
The tour will leave from the Joseph Bueys Sculpture Garden and follow the 1.4 mile loop of the Herbert Run Greenway.
The Herbert Run Greenway follows along the Herbert Run, the stream that passes through UMBC, and through the forested areas surrounding the stream. The Greenway provides a pathway to connect protected green spaces like Pigpen Pond, Giffen Hill, the Conservation and Environmental Research Area, and the Knoll.
The tour will feature the fascinating history and ecology of UMBC's unique landscapes, and how the UMBC community came together on a mission to protect and preserve the important forests, streams, and ecology of our campus.
