Represent UMBC in the Project Green Challenge

Register today and be rewarded for sustainable behavior!

This year UMBC will be joining hundreds of other universities and high schools around the world to participate in the Project Green Challenge. Our very own Eco-Ambassadors will be competing this year as a team, and you can too!

Join the challenge this October in celebration of Campus Sustainability Month!

Starting on October 1, Project Green Challenge (PGC) will feature 30 days of environmentally–themed challenges. All undergraduates and graduates are invited to participate. You can register as an individual or a team made up of up to four participants.

Each day during the month of October, a uniquely themed challenge will be delivered to registered PGC participants by email at 6 am Pacific Time. Each challenge will be live for 24 hours inviting participants to complete actions and upload deliverables to acquire points.

Deliverables include photos, videos, and text uploaded on the PGC site, as well as across Turning Green social platforms. Thoughtfully curated, theme related prize packages will be awarded daily for outstanding submissions.

At the end of the 30 days, up to 16 PGC Finalists are selected and will join Turning Green for a two-day Zoom finals on November 21 & 22. An in-person three-day PGC Finals will take place in San Francisco during Earth Month, April 2021 (pending state and local COVID restrictions). Each finalist will have a chance at winning a $5,000 Green Award based on completing a Climate Action Project that they develop.

The last day to register for the challenge will be September 30th. Follow this link to register yourself or your team today!
