UMBC's Sustainability Matters Welcomes New Asst. Director
Sustainability Matters is pleased to introduce and welcome the newest member of our team: Mr. Ryan Kmetz. Mr. Kmetz joins UMBC as the Assistant Director of Sustainability and has an office located within Facilities Management.
Mr. Kmetz holds a M.S. in Environmental Studies - Sustainable Development and Climate Change from Antioch University New England. He is credentialed by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure as an Envision Sustainability Professional. Mr. Kmetz is a national award winning writer and expert on resilience in higher education. He previously served as the Assistant Director of Sustainability and Energy Management at small private liberal arts University in NY.
Mr. Kmetz is excited to join UMBC and to work with the University on the update of the Climate Action Plan and the expansion of sustainability and resilience across the campus.
