RecycleMania Fashion Show/Creative Showcase/Drum Circle!!!

Thursday, March 1st: 6-9pm, UMBC Ballroom 
Fashion Show Party ft: food, performances (dance, music, poetry,) clothing swap, crafts, photobooth & drum circle! 
Costumes made from recycled materials will be modeled by UMBC students! 

The purpose of the party is to raise awareness, excitement and motivation for students to reduce waste, recycle, compost and reuse materials that people normally throw away in a creative fashion. 

6:00-6:30pm! Welcome & Introduction

6:30-7:30 Talent showcase: dance, poetry, & musical performances ft. Comedy (Sheldon Mason), Spoken Word Poetry (Retriever Poets), Music (Gurl Music), Caribbean Dance (Caribbean Student Council)

7:30-8pm: Recycled Fashion show featuring student models & designers

8-9pm: Drum Circle & dance party after a short ted talk with Professor Upcycle, Steven McAlpine & Straight Up Tribal- with recycled drums & instruments for you to join in! 

We want to shed light on why solutions like reducing, reusing, recycling, composting are so important to people, public health, wildlife, and our future! Please bring your friends to help raise awareness about these important issues in a fun, creative, and fashionable way!
