Greek Life Leads Campus Cleanup

UMBC fraternity Pi Kappa Phi recently teamed up with the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority to host a cleanup of Pig Pen Pond as a part of UMBC Greek Week. The two Greek Life organizations brought out a large group of volunteers to pick up trash and debris around the pond, which is located near BW Tech outside of the loop. Nicholas Pham, Pi Kappa Phi's Greek Week Coordinator, said "the desire to help increases exponentially when people unite and give each other that drive to get excited, have fun together, and to benefit the environment" adding that "it is important for people to keep in mind the importance of collaboration and service".
