"Ebb & Flow" is a modern dance piece inspired by nature
Will be performed on Earth Day at URCAD 2015!
As a double major in Environmental Studies and Dance, I try to find ways to connect my two fields and have been able to do this through my choreography.
I tend to use my personal observations of the natural world to inspire dances that explore Earth’s complexities, challenges, wonders, and rhythms. The dance I will present at URCAD, Ebb & Flow, was inspired by the extreme ocean tides of Kachemak Bay in Homer, Alaska that I witnessed during the summer of 2014.
I am excited this piece will be performed on Earth Day and hope it will encourage the audience to reflect upon the external forces that seemingly push and pull the dancers across the stage.
Ebb & Flow will be performed in PAHB 337 at 11:15am on April 22, 2015.
