Students collaborate to lead in the greening of UMBC!

UMBC Student Sustainability Confluence: Creating Connections

"This community center is a symbol of a campus commitment to sustainability, individual and group engagement, and action toward a stronger campus community." - Jacki Stone, Residential Life, BreakingGround Blog

We look forward to convening a sustainability summit there this Sunday, today is the last day to register and space is limited. Grab one of the last spots before it's too late: http://my.umbc.edu/groups/sustainability/events/22885

Students, faculty and staff advocates for sustainability have been integral to the greening initiatives that have taken root here at UMBC. At this summit, the many flourishing student groups will reflect on how we greened our campus in recent years, what new initiatives are on-going, brainstorm ideas for new ways to improve the environmental impact of our campus, and share skills to ensure that sustainability continues to flourish at UMBC.

If you know a student interested in sustainability on campus, please invite them to join over 40 current and future student change agents!

Thanks!
Tanvi Gadhia,
Sustainability Coordinator
Patrick Hixenbaugh, Sustainability Intern
Virginia Bryne, Leadership Coordinator, Student Life
