It's Balloon Week!
Dr. Kaylor's GES286 class takes to the skies
UMBC's campus just got a bit more colorful! This week, Dr. Kaylor's Intro to GIS class will be gathering aerial data using weather balloons. On Friday morning, you can expect to see several weather balloons dotting the sky. When they're not in the air, our Sondheim basement is brimming with balloons, so if you're in the area, stop on by! We're so excited to follow the hard work of our students as they wrap-up their first class in GIS!
On another note, it's been awhile! We're happy to be back providing updates from UMBC's GES department. We have more exciting news to come as we close out the semester, so stay tuned!
