Connecting With Nature at UMBC-Rescheduled from 4/7

Nature Connection in the Heart of the Campus

Intentional time spent in nature benefits our mental and emotional health by reducing stress and anxiety and improving mood. Led in partnership with Nature Worx, we will take a saunter on campus and discover ways to connect with nature using all of our senses.

Over the course of our walk, we will explore several natural elements on campus that are available to us as resources and allies to help us manage the challenges that we face as students, faculty and staff. Participants will learn simple ways to mindfully access the healing properties of the natural world on campus, and anywhere outdoors.

There will be two walks, one on April 22nd and one on May 4th. This group will be meeting at the Library pond on April 22nd and will explore the main corridor of the campus.

This session was rescheduled as part of USC's 4/7 Mental Health Community Action Day.
