About Claire:
Claire grew up with a passion for sustainability through working on her family’s organic farm. She earned a Master’s of Science in Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Iceland and a Bachelor’s of Arts in both Environmental Studies and Political Science from Macalester College in Minnesota. She’s originally from Iowa, but is now a very enthusiastic resident of Baltimore, where she has spent most of her career. Prior to UMBC, Claire worked at Parks & People, a Baltimore based nonprofit focused on green space and environmental education. Before that, she worked as a waste and sustainability consultant for hospitals, universities, and sports stadiums in the Baltimore area. Outside of work, Claire loves running, baking, spending time with her dogs, and volunteering with several local organizations. She jumps at any chance to travel, and is on a never-ending quest to make the tastiest pizza.
