Green Residential Hall Champion

Celine Brundridge ’24

Environmental Science & Geography

Collaborates with UMBC housing to implement sustainability initiatives in the residential halls.

Food Security Champion

Megan O’Neill ’22

INDS Major in Sustainable Design, Minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation

Works directly with Retriever Essentials to identify a project/campaign that helps educate and tackle food insecurity on-campus.

Carbon Neutrality Champion

Juliana Schifferes ’22

Works directly to implement a program that engages students either in dialogues about climate action, hold space for coping with climate distress, or incentivize carbon reduction behaviors.

Sustainable Food Champion

Lilly Minacci ’23

Geography and Environmental Studies

Collaborates with UMBC Dining to identify and coordinate a project on campus to engage students in sustainable eating habits or provide more sustainable options.

Eco-Org Liaison

Christina Shrestha ’24

Biological Science

Collaborates with sustainability related student organizations at UMBC on events and bi-monthly eco-coalition meetings.

Zero Waste Champion

Geography and Environmental Studies

Collaborates with on-campus stakeholders to identify coordinate a project or program on-campus focused on sustainable waste management.
