The interest meeting will be a Q&A discussion with eco-ambassadors students, intern and sustainability staff adviser. If you are interested in joining the eco-ambassador team or learning more about the peer-education program, attend this interest meeting.

Dinner and dessert will be provided.

Eco-Ambassadors earn a service learning transcript notation and stipend for volunteering 3-5 hours a week to raise awareness and action on sustainability and climate change on campus.

Ambassadors develop leadership skills by planning and implementing projects of their own choosing, related to one of the main priorities of the Climate Action Steering Committee: Energy, Waste, Transportation or Education or focus on outreach and communications to the student body through partnerships with departments like residential life and athletics.

Examples of weekly volunteer activities include tabling in the Commons to educate students how to sort their waste, presentations to classes/groups/teams, or hosting action oriented workshops.

A sustainability intern coordinates the eco-ambassador team, and training and support is provided by the sustainability coordinator.
