Climate Action Governance

Sustainable Development Goal 13 - Climate Action

UMBC’s Climate Action Steering Committee (CASC) is the primary governance mechanism of Climate Action at UMBC. The CASC is responsible for overseeing the implementation of UMBC’s Climate Action Plan, making official recommendations for sustainability, and pursuing strategies from the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (especially number 13 “Climate Action”). The CASC works is comprised of the following members:

  • CASC Co-Chairs (Vice President of Admin & Finance and Assoc. Vice President of Facilities Management)
  • Office of Sustainability
  • Representatives from each branch of UMBC’s Shared Governance
  • CASC Working Group Chairs

Meeting Information

CASC Meetings, and the associated working groups, are open to the public and the meetings are advertised on the Office of Sustainability’s Events Calendar.
