Description
UMBC received a 2019 Keep Maryland Beautiful Grant for conservation landscaping near the Joseph Beuys Sculpture Park and Herbert Run Greenway. Conservation landscaping provides habitat for local and migratory animals, conserves native plants, and improves water quality.
This is the second event supported by the grant. The first occurred as part of an extended UMBC Earth Week celebration in Spring 2019. Come to participate or to just learn about this sustainability initiative.
Clearing vines and removing invasive plants starts at 1 PM.
Environmental Task Force tree planting starts at 3 PM.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Friday, November 1, 2019.
