Description

This Wednesday will be surprisingly warm!

Take a guided nature walk along Herbert Run Greenway on campus.
This walk will highlight the Joseph Beuys Sculpture Garden, the Knoll, the Events Center, UMBC stadium, upland forest, UMBCtech, CERA Pond, and the new butterfly garden! Meet at the tables in front of the UC (by Starbucks).

The Herbert Run Greenway is a 1.4 mile loop connecting several natural spaces on the UMBC campus.

In an Interdisciplinary Studies seminar in 1996,  Patricia La Noue and her students designed the Herbert Run Greenway (HRG), a linear trail along a tributary of the Herbert Run stream. The HRG is used for education, recreation, relaxation, and artistic expression. The Greenway provides the UMBC community with a restorative, beautiful, and multipurpose resource connecting students with UMBC’s natural ecosystems.
